These hand made wheat and leaves are created on a Glass Workers torch using a process called Lamp-working. The glass rod is heated to a melting temperature, layered, twisted, and pulled to form the item. Each is similar, no two are alike. The Amber / Gold colour is achieved by fuming sterling silver onto the hot glass through the flame. ( It may tarnish over time but can be polished with a soft cloth)
The glass wheat is a symbol of hope and abundance, there is a saying that if you have a piece of wheat in your home you will never go hungry.
